Working Groups start with joint product

The Future Cities - project partnership has celebrated the first project conference in Rouen, France, on March the 19th 2009.

The Conference highlighted the need for adaptation to climate change on local level. The following day was dedicated to the working groups, which work jointly on a city climate assessment, action plans for transformation of urban infrastructures, implementation of selected pilot projects as well as communication strategies.

The upcoming Future Cities meeting will take place on 17.-18. June 2009 in Nijmegen, when Working Group 1 will elaborate on the joint climate assessment for city regions.
