WVI- Who are we?

WVI is the West Flanders Intermunicipal Association, in short wvi. WVI is active in West Flanders and are located in Bruges, the capital of the province.

WVI, as an intermunicipal association, is a public company working for 54 municipalities and cities in West Flanders and for the Province of West Flanders itself. 10 municipalities are a member of the Intercommunale Leiedal, active in the region of Kortrijk in the south west of the province.

Our board consists of politicians representing the municipalities and the Province of West Flanders.

What is the mission? WVI has more than 40 years experience in spatial planning, economic development and housing policy on local (municipal), intermunicipal, provincial (regional) and international level e.g. through an structural cooperation with the North of France.

WVI comprises a team of 82 experts.
