Working Group meeting Arnhem, 6th - 7th April 2011

The 6th Working Group Meeting of Future Cities took place in Arnhem in the Netherlands. At the two days meeting the Future Cities project partners and working group members developed the concrete contents of the Future Cities "Adaptation Compass" - and exchanged about the twinning activities.

All working groups prepared the final input for the "Adaptation Compass".

In Working Group 1 open issues such as the process for selecting suitable adaptation measures were discussed and decided on. The results of the successful twinning event on the topic "From the Heat Map to a Heat Recommendation Map" were spread among the members of Working Group 2. In Working Group 3 the fact sheets on structural measures for the catalogue of adaptation measures were developed further integrating the practical experiences of the Future Cities partners. Working Group 4 focussed on the input for the communication and awareness raising fact sheets. These demonstrate best-practice tools and processes which are used by the Future Cities project partners to achieve the aims of climate proof city regions.

The main results are summarised in the report of the Working Group Meeting which is available for download.
